About me --
MY STORY

I was born and raised in Timmins, Ontario. Growing up I was always very active; running X-country, playing ringette and hockey, teaching swimming lessons. I always had a particular interest in science and the human body.

Discovering osteopathy

I discovered osteopathy with my long-lasting and reoccurring hip injury when I was in my 2nd year of Bsc. Biology at Université de Montréal.  A few years earlier, when I was in High School (ESCT) in Timmins I had a left hip injury which restricted my Range of Motion and limited me in my running and skating performances. My first osteopathy treatment was at the external clinic of my then-future osteopathy school. The treatment was focused on myofascial release of the pelvis and bladder, and the realignment of my posture. This completely new-to-me approach captivated my interest and motivated me to pursue my osteopathic studies.

Studying and practicing osteopathy

In December 2018, I accomplished my 5 years full time osteopathic studies at the Collège d’Études Ostéopathiques de Montréal, also known as the Canadian College of Osteopathy. I then came back to Timmins as an intern of Osteopathy while completing my thesis on postural balance in the older adults. In May 2021, I successfully defended my thesis in front of a jury panel to receive my Diploma of Osteopathic Manual Practitioner (D.O.M.P.). I am a registered member of the OAO (Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners). https://osteopathyontario.org/
